Protect your battery life

Why us?

Full charging leads to increased battery wear

The worst moment during each charge of your electric car battery is the last phase, the so-called “top-up”. This is when the cells with the highest voltage wear out the fastest and, as a result, the battery loses its capacity, which is then no longer recoverable.
It is not every day that you need the entire battery capacity. If you usually drive distances where 80% or even less charge is sufficient – that’s great. Set in the configuration of your car, or your charger (e.g. Accelev) to charge not fully.
But what if there is no such option?
Buy and plug our device into your car’s OBD socket.
And that’s it. The car will charge to around 80% by default and the battery life will double.

I killed the first battery (30kWh) quite quickly, by charging the Leaf to full every evening. It had SOH=75% (LeafSpy) after only 100,000 kilometres. Now, after changing to a 40kWh battery I only charge to 80%, leaving a full charge only for longer journeys. So far – it’s perfect. No sign of a drop in range. After 10,000 kilometres, the SOH has remained at the initial 93.3%. Let’s hope it continues like this.
